To wrap up over 39 years in the music business is difficult.
Ok, here goes - Donna grew up (well, not really) in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. At the age of 12, she competed against 100 other children for a spot to train under a broadway singer from New York. She earned the coveted spot of 12 children and began her intensive 6 weeks of coaching. This is where she was officially bitten by the "music" and singing bug. At 15, signed to the Washington Talent Agency - singer in a "Rock and Roll" band. At 19, moved to LA, played the Troubedour, The Roxy, The Bla Bla, The Palomino (opening act for artists like Al Jarreau, members of the Rolling Stones, Don Henley and the Bangles). In the late 80's played in a high society "copy" band playing for Presidential functions and 5 star events in Washington, D.C. Her Group "Britton" opened up for Martha Reeves and the Vandelles, Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons and yes, even Billy Idol. In the early 90's, Donna was an on-air jock for nearly 3 years on 89.9 (Contemporary Christian Radio), learning the ropes of the broadcast business. In 1992, Donna attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston - where she began to learn the "tools' of the songwriting trade.
EARLY DAYS: From 1991 until the Summer of 2008, Donna was the owner and operator of Litigation Support & Legal Video, LLC producing legal documentaries for personal injury law firms for catastrophic injury victims of automobile and medical malpractice cases. As a result of her productions and excellent "people" and production skills, she was instrumental in facilitating over 30 million dollars in out-of-court settlements for her clients over the course of her 18 years operating this specialty business.
Donna is now President and part-owner of a music publishing business - Shadow Mountain Publishing, LLC. Coupling her business, legal and songwriting skills together, she is now focusing her efforts on her boutique group of talent, licensing songs in the TV, Film Videogame and Artist markets in Nashville, LA and New York.
